• Technical information such as device type, browser, IP-derived security data, cookies, and basic analytics events used to protect and improve the website.

2. How we use information

• To process donations, create Razorpay orders or recurring mandates, verify payment status, and prevent payment misuse.
• To issue donation confirmations, receipts, 80G-related records where applicable, and donor support responses.
• To send campaign updates, birthday celebration proof, impact reports, and operational messages through email, WhatsApp, SMS, or phone when appropriate.
• To maintain audit trails, accounting records, compliance documentation, donor service records, and internal reporting.
• To improve website performance, campaign presentation, donor experience, fraud prevention, and support workflows.

3. Payment and financial data

• Online payments are processed by Razorpay or other authorized payment partners. We do not store card numbers, CVV, UPI PINs, banking passwords, or full wallet credentials.
• We may store payment identifiers such as Razorpay order ID, payment ID, subscription ID, refund ID, transaction status, and receipt references so we can reconcile donations and support donor queries.
• Payment partners may process your information under their own policies and compliance requirements.

4. Sharing of information

• We do not sell donor personal data.
• We may share necessary information with payment gateways, email service providers, hosting/database providers, analytics tools, auditors, professional advisors, and service vendors who help us operate the website and charitable programs.
• We may disclose information to government authorities, regulators, banks, payment partners, courts, or law enforcement when required by law or necessary for compliance, dispute handling, fraud prevention, or donor protection.

5. Cookies and analytics

• The website may use essential cookies for login, security, form handling, and payment flow reliability.
• We may use analytics or advertising pixels to understand website performance and campaign effectiveness. You can control cookies through your browser settings, although some features may not work correctly without essential cookies.

6. Data retention

• Donation, receipt, accounting, and statutory records may be retained for at least seven years or longer when required for audit, tax, legal, dispute, or compliance reasons.
• General support messages and marketing preferences are retained only as long as reasonably necessary for donor service, internal records, and lawful operations.
• If you request deletion, we will remove or anonymize eligible data where possible, but we may retain records that are legally required or needed for legitimate charitable, accounting, or dispute-resolution purposes.

7. Security

• We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including HTTPS, controlled access, payment gateway security, and limited administrative access to protect donor information.
• No online system is fully risk-free. Please do not share OTPs, passwords, UPI PINs, card details, or sensitive payment credentials with anyone claiming to represent Jeevan Sahay.

8. Donor choices

• You may request access, correction, deletion where eligible, receipt corrections, or marketing opt-out by contacting us.
• Transactional communication related to donations, receipts, refunds, account security, and legal notices may still be sent even if you opt out of marketing updates.

9. Children's privacy

• Our donation platform is intended for adults. Donors should be at least 18 years old or use the website with consent and supervision from a parent or guardian.
• Photos, videos, and beneficiary stories are handled with care and are shared only where appropriate permissions and program needs allow.

10. Third-party links

Our website may link to payment partners, social media, videos, or external resources. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this policy.
