Refund and Cancellation Policy

Last updated: 9 July 2026

1. General donation policy

Donations made to Jeevan Sahay Trust are voluntary charitable contributions and are generally non-refundable once successfully processed. By completing a donation, you confirm that the amount may be used for the selected campaign, related charitable activities, and lawful operational needs.

2. Refunds we may approve

We may approve a refund in the following cases:

  • A duplicate charge for the same intended donation.
  • A failed payment where money was debited and not automatically reversed.
  • An incorrect amount caused by a verifiable technical error on our website.
  • A donation made by mistake, reported quickly before the funds are utilized or committed.
  • Any case where law, payment partner direction, or compliance review requires reversal.

3. Refund request timeline

Please raise refund requests within 48 hours of the transaction wherever possible. Requests received later may still be reviewed, but approval depends on payment status, campaign utilization, documentation, and compliance requirements.

4. How to request a refund

Email info@jeevansahay.com or use our Contact Us page with:

  • Donor name and registered email or phone number.
  • Razorpay payment ID, order ID, receipt number, or bank reference if available.
  • Donation amount and transaction date.
  • Reason for the refund request.

5. Refund processing time

Approved refunds are initiated to the original payment method through Razorpay or the relevant payment partner. Bank and payment partner timelines vary, but most approved refunds are reflected within 5 to 10 business days after initiation.

Failed payments are often automatically reversed by the bank or payment gateway. If the amount is not reversed within the expected timeline, contact us with the transaction details.

6. Monthly giving cancellation

Once monthly giving, Razorpay Subscriptions, or UPI AutoPay is enabled, donors may cancel future debits by contacting us, using available donor-account controls, or cancelling the mandate through their bank, UPI app, or Razorpay-supported flow.

Cancellation stops future billing cycles after the cancellation is processed. Already completed monthly donations are treated as charitable donations and are generally non-refundable, except for the refund cases listed above.

7. Campaign or celebration changes

For sponsored birthday celebrations and field activities, dates, locations, items, or beneficiary groups may change due to ground conditions, permissions, vendor availability, safety, or operational needs. In such cases, Jeevan Sahay may reschedule or redirect the donation toward a similar charitable purpose.

8. Receipts after refund

If a donation is refunded, the related receipt or tax-benefit record may be cancelled, voided, or corrected. Please do not use a refunded donation receipt for tax filing.
